Hope everyone is having a fabulous week, we’ve finally been getting some thunderstorms so the temperature was actually quite pleasant today. My fiance and I had a great day out running errands and then cooking dinner together and taking the pup for a nice, long evening walk. I had oodles of math homework to get done before midnight (yes, because I put it off AGAIN!!!). In the midst of all of this, I had the pleasure of speaking with Power Up for PCOS about becoming a state representative for South Carolina. Apparently the closest Power Up group to my area is TWO STATES away! I plan to fix that. I’m a little nervous since it’s just me and I have never done anything like this before. I am going to be in charge of organizing and presenting information at monthly meetings as well as organizing a 5k for my state. I’m really excited to take on the responsibility and hope that I am able to drum up interest in the group in my state. If this sounds like a commitment you would be interested in, you should get in touch with Power Up for PCOS to see if there is a need for a volunteer in your area. Their mission is awesome- they provide financial support for the inCYST Institute for Hormone Health (these two groups are two of your biggest allies when it comes to managing your PCOS). They also have a comprehensive network for PCOS education and support. It’s really an awesome group, and I hope that you help them continue to gain momentum and recognition in their mission. The more support that Power Up and inCYST receive, the more they can advocate on your behalf to find answers regarding PCOS health. Check them out, see if you can help, you won’t regret it!
